A woman on the Edge: Sonja Bernhardt
October 30th, 2008
Entrepreneur Sonja Bernhardt is unique among the Edge of the Web speakers in that her background is in software systems rather than the web. But her special interest has always been issues relating to gender across the entire information technology sphere, which is reflected in her presentation topic: Women in ICT – The Global Failure of Intervention Programs.
WA Web Awards judging chairperson Helen Burgess asked Sonja a few questions about her presentation, numerous side projects and role as a judge in the WA Web Awards (Sonja was also a judge in the inaugural awards in 2005).

Richard has posted an interview with Chris on his blog, where he talks about realising the potential of BarCamp, the possibilities for open source beyond just software, and getting excited about the future of the web.
